10K, baby!

After 4 months of training, an average of about every other day, I was ready to run my first 10K race! It was held in Galveston, which made the race that much easier. The course went along the seawall and it was beautiful. It sure made running that much easier when you had the sound of seagulls and waves crashing all around.
I finished the race in 1 hour and 10 minutes. Hopefully next time I'll have a better time, but this time around I was glad to have finished!

I've really enjoyed running. Never thought I'd say that, but it's a great stress reliever and it's definitely helped my energy level. I'm looking around for a few more races to sign up for. Hopefully by this time next year I'll run a half marathon...
